Annuals in North Carolina Can Be Florida Friendly Perennials

November 25, 2009 by Rick

A short video of the beautiful Terrace Garden at the Duke Botanical Gardens. You will see many of the plants that grow here year round are used in their garden as annuals. Some of them are very Florida Friendly. Lots of color combination ideas here. Mass plantings of butterfly attractors and ornamental grasses that add movement as they sway in the breeze.

Ahhhh, beautiful pix and garden. Thank you!
I was surprised when I visited Vermont in October how many familiar plants I saw. You could write a book -- "When to Grow Up North Plants in Florida (And What to Never Try)". I think it would be a best-seller! (In Florida, at least)
