Going for the Gold with Sedums

February 27, 2011 by Rick

Three chartreuse sedums you will find at these Home Depot Garden Centers this spring will offer you new choices to cover the ground and feature plants, garden ornaments and collectibles. The chartreuse color of these hardy succulents contrasts with many of the colors of the flowers, foliage and objects you have in the garden.

Rick,
I've got my sedum gold tucked in to many of my container plants and also growing as groundcover. It seems to really perk up this time of year. And of course it is getting ready to bloom in just a few weeks. Very fun plannt!

I love the chartreuse color of this plant. It performed well through the winter, and I've already planted more of it..both in the ground and in containers.

I planted these in a semi-shaded area in front of yellow shrimp plants. It's dry other than the twice weekly waterings I give it in this otherwise, natural setting. It is doing great! It's not bothered by the cold in my zone 9B garden -  it's now got beautiful tiny yellow flowers and seems to just bloom forever. It's a keeper in my garden!
